The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time academic anesthesiologist for the position of instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology. The Pediatric Anesthesiology Division presently consists of a 28 faculty which provides services in 12 state of the art operating rooms and similar to other pediatric anesthesia practices, in a number of remote sites such as interventional radiology, and in the MRI suite. The Division also has an active pain management service that cares for 8,000 patients annually. Members of the Division are actively involved in active basic science and clinical research. Johns Hopkins Medicine is recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative leadership in clinical care, research, and education.
Role
An academic anesthesiologist responsible for clinical care, education, quality improvement, and/or research. These responsibilities include:
  • Delivery of efficient and innovative pediatric anesthesia and acute pain management to ensure consistently high quality patient care in multiple settings (ambulatory, inpatient, off-floor, etc.)
  • Collaborations among divisional faculty and other clinical and/or basic research scientists across campus
  • Educating medical students, residents, and/or fellows in regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine

Qualifications​

Qualified candidates must be board certified in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology and must qualify for an appointment in the School of Medicine as an Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of clinical and research experience.
