Not sure I agree. I bought an older 911 (2008), and, honestly, mostly it runs like a Honda. Sure, it’s a little more to maintain, but not like double a regular car.
35 hours per week x 42 weeks x $250/hr = $367K. Benefits? Retirement? What happens when a case goes til 2:01? How are they making any money with 1:2 direction?
It would be interesting to know what the surgeon is making on each case (probably knowable) and what the ASC is making in facility fees. Absent that, I’d want $400/hr, free espresso (the good stuff, not keurig), and fast WiFinto do eyeballs all day.
I was out of OB 12 years and joined a practice where I need to do it. I was mentored and proctored mostly in the "continuous pressure, saline" camp, and I have to say I've found it to be incredibly (and surprisingly) reliable.

That’s funny. But no, we were a real hospital with cases going into the evening every day. I was there for 12 years, splitting time between there and the local university.
I think what people are getting at here is that salary and weeks are just the beginning of the discussion. How many days/hours/shifts/calls does that dollar amount actually buy, and what happens when they ask you for an additional day/hour/shift/call because volume goes up or staff leaves.
My...

Not in IL, but I've found others in my PP group are very supportive. They want the group to succeed, which means they want everyone in the group to shine. I've been called into rooms to help with a difficult procedure here and there, so I know that if I needed help, people would come...
