    Passed, USMLEworld correlation

Most people i know who tested on my day got their scores this past wednesday. I got 70-80% on the NBME practice tests, they were not as hard as USMLE world.

    Passed, USMLEworld correlation

I just got my score report, 4 weeks after examining. I passed with a 223. I did approx 500 USMLE world questions, the NBME practice test and practice cases. All 5-6 days before the test. That is all, well, besides intern year. I did not open a book or spend anytime reading anything for this...

 did you recieve email notification of your score being reported? Don't you get the score from the NBME website, not FSMB? fwiw I tested 4/24-25 no news yet.

how is University of Tennessee/Methodist Healthcare Program?

Glad to see some input on this program. I interviewed here in November and was very happy it. Seemed solid all around with happy residents and committed attendings. While the number of residents has increased (due to the merger) they are currently not utilizing all of their spots due to...

    family question

I have been asked "inappropriate" questions on over half of my interviews including family questions. I am male so I can only imagine that it is even worse for women. Beware.

USMLE World Scores and Step II Scores

I appreciate this thread and all those posting their comparative scores. Could people enter their score (anonomously) at http://www.medfriends.org/step2_estimator/index.htm This is a great resource for exactly what this thread is trying to accomplish.

should i take step 2 early?

I'm in the application process right now. What I remember is that anything taken prior to Sept 1. was automatically reported. The option to not disclose only applied to exams taken after Sept. 1 and you had to actively check a box not to release.

    comparing residency specialties

I found this site pretty helpful regarding what your asking. The truth in these matters is allways hard to get at so you must approach with caution and a grain of salt when reading and every program is different. Good luck. http://residency.wustl.edu/

    Eras ?

In regads to the PS. I don't know what most people do. In my class we have 6 trying for Rads and I think half have written two (one for transitional, one for Rads) Personal Statements. I wrote two. I didn't like the idea of simply changing one paragraph in my rads ps to suit a transitional...

    Books for Neuroradiology

Squire's neuro section is'nt all that good. I would work on the anatomy with your atlas and high yield. If you want more pathology/neuroradiology check out osborn's red book, also her diagnostic imaging: Brain book is amazing. Look for these in your library.

    The application process

Yes. Yes. Check the program's web site and you will find those that offer a transitional year and a rad residency.

    How painful was your internship?

That doesn't seem like many programs and you were shopping around. I have heard similar numbers and the whole regional thing. What makes it so one doesn't have to apply to 15-20 of these programs? Are interviews offered more readily? Is it that most of the applicants are more regional...
