I agree with the above poster. THe competition is definitely fierce as I've fond out over my interviews, but to a certain extent there's a degree of randomness. I mean we've done the work, and its all outta our hands. stay positive and hope for your top 3! that's all we can do :)

i just read this thread, and i think someone wrote the total annual reimbursement for programs is 100k/resident??? how is that possible if we are only getting 42k/ yr??? Where does the rest of the money go?

I'm a UCLA student so I can give some examples of the program. Its pretty friendly place because the interns are relaxed overall. ICU is the strong points, but the ward medicine months are Cedars are pretty poor (very few good teaching cases). combo w/ va has strengthened the program...

So does not hearing from a program mean rejection? Will they send rejections to people, or will they just not send an invitation and keep people wiating til say...january?
