    anti cancer drugs

I do not recall much emphasis on specific pharmacologic cancer tx as much as diagnosis based on pt's age/ CD-expression/ histological features etc... Do, however, know the major side effects associated with the popular anti-neoplastic agents. Hope this helps a little and good luck!

    Chicago or Baylor?

Seriously, neither school puts you at a disadvantage when it comes to choosing a competitive residency, especially with a PhD in engineering. Do well in med school/boards and your path is in your hands. I personally love the city of Chicago and couldn't deal with the humidity of the south...

OMG Loved OB/Gyn, what to do!

Hey Wednesday, I was in the same boat as you until about 3 weeks ago when I decided that I am going to pursue ob/gyn! OB/gyn was my first rotation this year and I have since missed that great feeling despite memories of a rigorous schedule. I have been trying to rationalize not going into...

    what counts as clinical experience?

Don't worry about labeling your experiences as "Clinical". You have had a depth of experience interacting and assisting people in the health care setting which goes very far with adcoms because it shows your desire to serve. Do not try to pad your resume with meaningless experiences that you...

What's the deal with whey protein?? Any one have any educated information?

Whey protein is completely safe especially if is not doctored up with sugar substitutes (sucralose, glycerin, acesulfame K, aspartame) which are all probably safe anyways, although I prefer to avoid them. Whey protein is the most bio-available protein for muscle building with a great amino-acid...

    Books for Surgery

Which medicine sources would best supplement surgery review books/questions to best prepare one for the surgery shelf? I am wondering how in depth I should go considering the reading for surgery alone is lengthy. Are the Washington Manual or Mosby's Care of the Medical Pt. appropriate or do...
