If you were a major company who was forced to offer a money back guarantee by market pressure, and you put in a clause that if they didn't improve from a Kaplan pre-test to the actual MCAT, then they'd get their money back, then you'd probably make the scores really low and test relaly hard too...

Only Hs assume the axial position in trans-decalin, so they must be referring to 1,3-diaxial hydrogen interactions. Perhaps they are emphasizing how minimal those interaction are, to support the preference of trans over cis. McMurray is generally a good book.

Zumdahl is a pretty good textbook. Chang has some good "random inserts" that seem to be good MCAT topics. But by far, the best general chemistry book for the MCAT is the Berkeley Review General Chemistry book. It will give you the text review you need and it has passages. Check eBay and see...

I think that says it all about your opinion on this matter. The idea was to put up generic comments and give advice how to select a program. Based on your verbal performance, I assume you missed the point.

Their chemistry is the best book by far. Their physics seems about average. Their bio is a bit overkill. Their verbal is about average. The best part about the books though, is the fact that the answer explanations are really good. If you get their books, do it for the passages mostly...

Every book has superfulous information. You have to get over it and just deal. Just because it is written, doesn't mean you have to read it. And it is definitely true that passages are FAR MORE IMPORTANT than reading. As for the Kaplan book recommendation, count me on the opposite side...

Comprehensive books lack some of the details needed to fully understand a subject. It really comes down to you. If you are brilliant at a topic, you don't need the review anyway, so why waste time with any book (comprehensive or detailed)? You just need to do passages. The most important...

Just find the crowd of tense people that starts gathering around 7:30 and follow it. Somehow, everyone manages to find the room on test day, so get good sleep and try not to worry about things other than what to do after the MCAT.
