    U. of Cincinnati secondaries

I am attending this fall and I just cut/copy/pasted my essays from the AMCAS. I think that basically UC is skirting AMCAS and doing it through their own system, so a copy is fine. Good luck to all applying this fall and if you have q's about UC feel free to PM me.

    U of Cincinnati- Who's going?

I will be there for the Summer Pre Pro. I spent a year out of college to apply and I could use a little freshening up. The campus is also relatively large, so finding your way around early might be helpful. I spoke with several people about it and they thought it was good, but also a few said...

    Cincinnati

Hello, I'd give her a call (Mrs. Fooks), she is cool and will probably give you an idea of where you stand. I'll be starting there this fall. Good school. This is the info from her card she gave me: Clarice Fooks (513)-558-7314 ph (513)-558-1165 fax If you need housing I just put up a website...

    U of Cincinnati- Who's going?

Hello and Congrats!!! I just got back from UC and was looking at apartments, there isn't a whole lot right now that are great, I'd call UC for the housing handbook (they'll send it to you), I used it without much luck, but I was only there for 4 days and looked at around 30 places. If anyone...

    moving from coast to coast

There are several services that will let you have someone else drive your car, and let you fly. My brother had his car driven out to Albany from SlC. They pair up people that need a ride to a certain destination, and then they find people whose cars need to go somehwere, put them together and...

    moving from coast to coast

I have been looking at the same thing as well (Utah to Cincinnati). UHaul was pretty expensive to rent a van and tow my car ($1800), Budget does rent vans but wasn't much cheaper ($1500). I found that my best option was to install a hitch on my Honda Accord ($170) and then rent a 5'x 8' UHaul...

    U. Cincinnati COM Class of 2006

Congrats, I look forward to meeting you this fall. I called the office of admissions about the prematriculation program that begins on July 29th and they said that there is a delay in notifying those who where interested. I asked if they might know when they would know so that we could...

    U. Cincinnati COM Class of 2006

Hey, I'm psyched to meet all of you. I did get an estimate for financial aid and I will have to get some dough this summer somehow :( Anyway, I'll be trying to fly into Cinci at the end of June trying to find an apartment as well. If anyone wants to try and hook up and split the cost of a...

Where is everyone going on vacation this summer?

I got the mega-mega trip starting tomorrow...thanks to my friends mom who works for Continental Airlines (free tickets). Me and four friends go Salt Lake to New York to Tokyo to Bali (Indonesia) then to Houston then to the Bahammas. Trip lasting one month. So I guess I'll post again in mid...

How much did people spend for med school admissions?

I think that I was around $8,000. It would be for 22 applications, AMCAS, MCAT, Travel to and from 5 inteviews (all flying), and other misc. copying costs etc. I did get 4 accepts so I think that it was worth it, but I did stay broke most of this year, and had CC debt. until this last month.

2002 post-acceptance withdrawl list (former Fellow applicants with multiple...)

I withdrew from NYMC, Albany, and USUHS. Hope that it helps someone out. NYMC was hard to pull from, but 35k a year is hard to swallow.

    Cinci post-interview: really 4-6wks??

I'm psyched to meet everyone also. I will be traveling for the next month or so, but will be looking for a place in mid June. Hopefully I can catch a Red's game (since my Utah Jazz just lost to Crapramento a few minutes ago). I think that the Red's are doing well this year. I spent a grand...

    Cinci post-interview: really 4-6wks??

I interviewed in December 10th and was accepted at the end of January. So 6-8 weeks sounds about right. Keep checking their online status page. Mine was updated about a week before I got the paper, so it could be more current for you. I personally thought that the school was great, and will...

    State vs. private school

I did check on it and I will be good for years 2,3,4 if I stay in state over the summer and take my loans out from a state lender. This is actually one of Cinci's selling points for out-of-staters. When you get the acceptance letter there is another form that has in huge letters "Want to Save...
