Curriculum

Belmont University College of Pharmacy offers five areas of specialized concentrations for students to choose from:</br>
- Pharmacotherapy. Provides skills and competencies in direct patient care to collaborate in a team-based approach with doctors, therapists and other healthcare professionals.</br>
- Information Management. Prepares for work with data to inform production efficiency, drug interaction, clinical decisions, robotic processing and the pharmaceutical supply chain.</br>
- Pharmacy Missions & Public Health. Focuses on how pharmacists help treat underserved populations here in the United States and in third world countries.</br>
- Pharmacy Management. Teaches management principles, including quality improvement methods, negotiation and presentation skills, and healthcare economics.</br>
- PharmD/MBA Dual Degree. Extends the pharmacy management concentration to a second advanced degree in business administration, attainable through summer study within the four year time frame of the PharmD. Available to those holding a bachelor's degree with separate admission to the MBA program required.</br>

Facilities

McWhorter Hall, built in 2010, provides state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, simulation rooms, a drug information center and a campus pharmacy within a health sciences complex that supports interprofessional education with other graduate and undergraduate students in family nurse practice, physical therapy, occupational therapy, public health, social work and nursing.
