About the School

Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine (HMSOM), located in Nutley, New Jersey, was established in 2015 as the state's first private medical school in decades. Initially affiliated with Seton Hall University, HMSOM became independent in 2020. The school is part of the Hackensack Meridian Health network, which includes 18 hospitals and is the largest hospital network in New Jersey. HMSOM received full accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) in February 2023.

Curriculum
