✅ Interview Preparation and Impressions

How is the friendliness of the admissions office?

No responses

How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

No responses

How did you prepare for the interview?

Read SDN, prepared and practiced answers to the common questions, relaxed.

What impressed you positively?

Friendliness of students and faculty, atmosphere of NSU. The campus is really high tech, and the surrounding area is beautiful.

What impressed you negatively?

The tour was a little unorganized, and I didn't get to see Harvey (a simulation of a patient that presents symptoms) because the door was locked.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

Attendance is mandatory and the curriculum is very heavily lecture-based. I'm more of a book person, so I don't know if this fits me.

What are your general comments?

Overall, the experience was great. They really pamper you by giving bus tours and delicious catered food. Plus, the med students sit and talk to you while you're waiting for your interview - this was a good thing for most interviewees but kinda distracting for me; since it was my first interview, I just wanted to sit quietly and think about what I was going to say. The interviewers grilled me about my grades for my first two years of undergrad, so be sure to explain each and every "C" or lower grade on your transcript.

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?
