How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

10 out of 10

How did you prepare for the interview?

SDN, Read over my app, mock interview, other interviews, read up AMA Virtual Mentor on ethics, practiced responses to strength/weakness type questions

What impressed you positively?

The Sim Lab. The students' enthusiasm. The Nintendo Wii's in all the lounges. The anatomy lab. The hospital. The docs at the clerkship.

What impressed you negatively?

Patient population, I couldn't read some of the students' personalities.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

Many of the students are married apparently (according to one student).

What are your general comments?

My most laid back interview. Started with breakfast in the conference room with a student, followed by a short video intro to UM's Regional Campus at FAU, an info session about the school and its curriculum by Markowitz and Servoss, the interview, then tours of the campus, the sim lab, the hospital (Bethesda).

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?

Take away the name tag pins! They poked 2 holes in my suit! Clips/magnets all the way!
