⭐ Overall Impressions

How did the interview impress you?

Positively 🙂

What was the stress level of the interview?

1 out of 10
0 = Low Stress, 10 = High Stress

What are your general comments?

I had an excellent first interview experience. I was interviewed by a fourth year medical student and then a faculty member. Both were so welcoming and laid-back. I liked touring the Brain Institute and seeing the simulated patient. We had two tours: one of the hospital (by student) and one of the Brain Institute (by staff). All students, faculty, and fellow interviewees were wonderful.
💬 Interview Process

What is one of the specific questions they asked you?

Have you read any intersting books/magazines lately? Who is your hero (nonmedical or medical). Name two strengths and one area in which you could improve. How did you decide to go into medicine?

What was the most interesting question?

If you could recommend only two movies for a person to see in their lifetime what would they be?

How did you prepare for the interview?

SDN, read on bioethics/current medical issues (not asked), mock interviews, answered many sample questions

What was the most difficult question?

Same as above.

What impressed you positively?

Everyone was so nice. I felt very comfortable and relaxed. I went to UF for undergrad so I already knew how wonderful the hospital is.

What impressed you negatively?

Nope.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

They cannot tell an interviewee if they will be placed on hold, accepted, or rejected until Oct. 15th.
