With your numerious areas of study, how do you see psychology fitting in?

You do realize you'll be working with those who are depressed and have anxiety disorders, right? (The interviewer was not too nice to me...)
How did you prepare for the interview?
Most applicants relied heavily on Student Doctor Network (SDN) for interview preparation and also conducted online research to read up on the program or institution. The consensus was to utilize SDN resources and thoroughly research the interview process to feel well-prepared.
What was the most difficult question?
Students said most difficult question asked at Argosy University College of Clinical Psychology discussed the 5-year plan post-graduation and the rationale behind choosing clinical psychology. Why clinical psychology? (Note: this shouldn't have been difficult at all, except my interviewer did not understand WHY I wanted to go into this field... I must've explained it to her 5-6 times.)
What impressed you positively?
Applicants were impressed by the great faculty, the relaxed and humanizing atmosphere during the interview process, and the post-interview luncheon. Suggestions for improvement were minimal, with one applicant mentioning the desire to explore more of Washington, DC.

The luncheon after the interview was very relaxed and helped me to feel like the professors were real people, not just intimidating interviewers.
What impressed you negatively?

Coldness of staff, faculty's attempt at psychoanalyzing me during the interview, faculty putting down my previous research experience, lack of any tour or information session, unavailability of staff for discussions before and after interviews...

The interviewer I had was not supportive, and she in fact seemed to question many of the things I said, as if she wasn't sure that I meant them.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
Applicants commonly wished they had known about the small size of the school and the intense nature of the interviews, where they felt like they were on trial and compared their experiences with others.

The school was small... very small!

That the interviews would make me feel like I was on trial, and that other people's interviewers would be much better than the people I got :(
