What do you like most about this school?

It's a research hub in the center of a few different hospitals. The satellite campuses add a unique flavor to the medical curriculum, so it's not a one size fits all education (this is a double-edged sword though!)

What do you like least about this school?

The info session after my interview revealed that 60% of the class does not get placed at the Indy campus (the location desired by most accepted students) but are "forced" to be at one of the satellite campuses. The core competencies that are threaded into the curriculum and so highly stressed on the webpage, during the interview, and by the co-chair of admissions turn out to be kind of ridiculous. From what the med students said, you can gain competencies pretty easily. Like, for instance, talking to interviewees like myself, on interview day or giving a 10 minute presentation to your fellow med students. If it's that easy to get them "checked off" and you don't really LEARN anything about the doctoring characteristics they embody, then what's the point?
