What impressed you positively?

"Amazing facilities! Everything is in one location and every floor is so different in terms of patient population and specialty! It is great- patients may need vision therapy for their children but low vision for themselves- and they can get all this with the coordination of specialists in the same buildling- makes eye care more accessible to everyone! Student guide was really honest and nice. SUNY is not as competitive as it shows to be- they are really nice ppl- but definitely very ambitious and intelligent! Dr. Johnston is so amazingly kind and approachable! Plus the school is in the heart of Manhattan,,,can't get better than that! We also had the best swiss cheese, turkey sandwich!!!" Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"NYC's subway system is the most complicated ever, like Toronto's....." Report Response

"It was open file and really chill- they were really nice and wanted to get a feeling of whether I was sincerely and passionately interested in optometry and I was- just be totally honest and professional while maintaining your character- whether you are a generous, funny, enthusiastic person! Just be yourself and I was most relaxed at this interview and it worked out great! They told me I was accepted two hours afterwards!!! :)" Report Response
