Full job description​

We are looking for a Podiatrist to work in our Offices in Mineral Wells, Weatherford and Arlington Texas. Podiatrist responsibilities include providing all services as authorized by the Texas podiatry License. To be considered for this role, you should have a doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine. Ultimately, you will give our patients the best treatment based on their condition.
  • Examine patients’ feet to diagnose diseases
  • Perform diabetic and geriatric
  • -Perform wound care
  • Perform surgery
  • Treat foot and ankle injuries,
  • Review patients’ medical history
  • Advise patients on foot care and general wellness practices
  • Order additional medical tests (like MRIs, ultrasounds etc) to form a better diagnosis if necessary
  • Coordinate with other medical professionals
Skills
  • Experience as a Podiatrist
  • Excellent knowledge of therapeutic treatments for the lower extremities
  • Familiar with all types of foot problems
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well (Extremely Important)
  • Empathy and patience (Extremely Important)

NCH is entering a joint venture with the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), which is consistently among the top-ranked hospitals for orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report. We are seeking a full-time PA/APRN to work with one of our HSS at NCH surgeons in a busy foot and ankle orthopedic practice. The position is available immediately.
The job would entail working in the office clinic and, potentially, in the operating room. Minimal if any call. Helpful skills include the ability to splint and cast, fit durable medical equipment, apply negative pressure dressings and suture removal. Office responsibilities typically include patient call backs, post operative follow-up, patient pre-operative preparation, and x-ray orders. A practitioner seeking to establish his or her own limited practice would be supported.
Dr. Richard J de Asla, NCH Chief Medical Officer Surgical Services North Campus, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in foot in ankle orthopedics. Not that they'd consider a DPM... but probably a better job/fellowship - and better compensated (real benefits) - than half of podiatry associate jobs. :unsure:

Better overall compensation than the job posted right before it when benefits are considered. And travel…Mineral Wells and Arlington are 70 miles away from one another. All for $120k as an associate in a podiatry group lol

To be fair if the employer does not list a salary some job sites estimate it themselves because adds with salaries (even low ones) get more responses. Then other job sites copy it from the other job site that estimated it etc. Probably what happened with these random numbers.

So this might be what AI thinks an associate podiatrist is worth.

Which brings up another discussion is associate pay so low that they are afraid to even list it and would rather discuss “potential” in person?
