Will a D in calculus affect my chances but performed well in all my other math classes including a different type of calc class called bio calc

I got a D in engineering calculus (math 150)

This calculus class is basically for engineering and comp sci majors but since this calculus class goes into a lot of depth for the material since its for tech fields it can be taken as another option for a calculus class to fulfill the calculus class requirement for any major business, bio etc. This class has a fail rate greater than 80% and is considered to be the number 1 hardest class in my university.

Since I found this class to be impossible. I took decided to take the calculus class exclusively for my major called calculus for the life sciences(math 145) and performed well in that. As far as my other upper level math grades go. I got a A in stats, A in both physics 1 and 2 as well.

Please let me know what to do!

One D isn't going to kill your application, but you may have to explain the poor grade on the app or if asked in an interview. I would own up to it instead of saying "80% of the class historically fails" as you're shifting the blame to the university rather than just owning up to the fact you struggled. Struggling is okay, it's part of learning. You will struggle in dental school and the only person responsible for you is yourself. So this is a good demonstration of maturity and understanding.

Doing well on other math courses will help, mitigate it all by doing well again on the QR section of the DAT. Again, one bad grade isn't going to kill you.

Also I took the biocalculus just in case thats fine right to fulfill a calc requirement?
