Confused about Step 3/Level 3

I am a little confused and have a two part question..

1) I am a D.O. currently doing my prelim/neurology at an allopathic school that is NOT dual accredited. Do I have to take Step 3 as well as COMLEX level 3, or can I just take the COMLEX?

2) I am in a state where the licensing board has a requirement that an intern be in their program for at least 9 months before taking step 3. Does this requirement also apply to COMLEX Level 3 or is it just in regards to the USMLE?

Answer to #1 - In a nutshell, COMLEX is all that is needed for licensure. There is no need to take both.
