When did you interview?any acceptance from NYU Brooklyn Langone GPR ?
November. I heard some people got phone calls yesterday for acceptancesWhen did you interview
I asked the same resident lately and said Columbia hasn’t started selecting yet, expect in January feedbacks.Thank you, this year has been quiet, any news from any program?
Oh they do phone calls and not email?November. I heard some people got phone calls yesterday for acceptances
are they non-match?Columbia University AEGD has sent out acceptances in the past 2 weeks.
Yes, they are not a match-registered university.are they non-match?
Would post-match results show openings for schools that didn’t participate in the match? If a non post match program rejects you after interview but post match results show they have openings can you apply or it's a waste of time and effect?
Do they accept international graduates dentists? The Olin Teague VA AEGD residency based in Temple, TX is seeking more residents to complete their class this year. This VA has a handful of full time staff dentists, a prosthodontist, and a periodontist. The interim program director, oral surgeon and chief of staff are leaving this year, so there has been changes in leadership that have delayed their usual resident recruitment process. The new program director coming in is a prosthodontist and an orofacial pain specialist. Students rotate through anesthesia, ENT and internal medicine and then transition to full time in clinic. Students can gain exposure to conscious sedation, implant placement, endo (endodontist does not cover residents, but some residents do molar endo under general practice attendings), complex removable prosth/full mouth rehab, oral surgery, and management of medically complex patients. Some of these experiences are contingent upon having a full class of residents- the periodontist will only be present as an attending to cover sedation cases, implants, and more advanced surgery if there are three residents. Stipend is around 60K.
Interested applicants can send a copy of their PASS application by email to John Nickell, interim program director, [email protected] . He is open to receiving applications as part of the post-match process, but if you didn’t apply through match and didn’t want to wait until Jan 22nd, I think he would consider your application sooner. Additional questions should be directed to him as I am simply helping get the word out but the official details of the program would come from him.

I'm pretty sure all VAs only accept US citizens or permanent residents.Do they accept international graduates dentists?
I know but do they accept US citizens who graduated from outside the states?I'm pretty sure all VAs only accept US citizens or permanent residents.
It would be worth emailing Dr. Nickell to inquire, I do not know what their policy is regarding that.I know but do they accept US citizens who graduated from outside the states?
It may not make a difference but there's no harm in sending an email.does it look bad to message a program you interviews in (that is participating in match) your interest in the program? The director did give me his email and number on a business card and I just wanted to email the director to express my interest in the program but I worry it's too close to the match deadline to email
You'll get an email from Match on the morning of January 22.If someone matches do they get notified or do we have to check our match account.
ThanksYou'll get an email from Match on the morning of January 22.
heard they did send acceptancesanyone here received acceptance from Columbia AEGD for international dentist?
Yeah I was wondering the same!If a program didn’t email you that they’re ranking you is that a bad sign?
Do they usually email you if they rank you? I didn’t get any emailsIf a program didn’t email you that they’re ranking you is that a bad sign?

Did you match in phase 1 ?Do they usually email you if they rank you? I didn’t get any emails
It’s not illegal if they let you know that they rank you or not but they can’t specifically say where they’ve ranked you. Same goes for the applicants. We can tell them we intend to rank them, but not “I am ranking you #1”. Same goes for asking for such information either from the applicant’s pov or the program’s.Nobody will email you if they ranked you because it’s illegal. You should wait the match results
Thank you for an honest opinion. It’s not illegal if they let you know that they rank you or not but they can’t specifically say where they’ve ranked you. Same goes for the applicants. I haven’t heard of aegd/gpr programs doing that, maybe during the interview they could verbally express their interest but they dont have to and can still rank you either way.
I believe program directors and applicants can volunteer to tell where they are ranking, but we can’t ‘ask’ them where they are ranking or say ‘If you rank me #1, I’ll rank your #1’It’s not illegal if they let you know that they rank you or not but they can’t specifically say where they’ve ranked you. Hey friends. I hope you heard good news today. If, for whatever reason, you are still seeking a residency I would like to remind you that

Bump the email again, he will respond. He is dealing with a lot right now administratively since they are transferring directorship roles right now but I'm sure he will get back with you if you remind him again.I sent the email of inquiry but he did not reply.

Advanced Education General Dentistry( AEGD) 1 resident opening -Expanding program Summer 2024
Our program began in 2008, in the heart of Kansas, and we have certified over 60 dentists with ADA -AEGD certifications.
For the last three years, we’ve had 4 resident Dentists annually. We currently have four resident graduating and four new residents starting this summer. However, we want to expand by adding a fifth resident. Our growing patient base has created the need to expand our practice so we are not booking new patients too far out. The program is a multi-specialty supported program. You will get the opportunity to do everything that the faculty teach within the scope of general dentistry. This includes guided implant placement, periodontal surgeries , molar endo plus much more.
The specialists to work with you are Prosthodontist/periodontists/oral surgeons, endo/GP plus other GP to chip in what they love. We scan, mill and print with technology using our primescan, primemill, sprintray plus much more. We are a stand alone building in a neighborhood.View attachment 381546
We are not attached to a hospital or dental school, so there are no other residencies to take away from your clinical experiences. We are as close to a private practice setting for an educational program. Since we are like a private practice ,you will need a DDS / DMD and a US license.
My name is Dean Elledge DDS, MS and I am the program director in my 10th year at Wichita State. I am the one responsible for you to have a great experience so you can find your passion to carry you into the future.

Salary is a $41,000, plus benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays and health/vision/dental insurance and the opportunity is career changing.
Please contact Amanda Conner, MA for program application process at [email protected], 316.978.8349 or to be put in contact with a current resident dentist.
