Hello,

I apologize; I know this is a bit off-topic.
I am trying desperately to get into Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a patient - specifically to the Internal Medicine Department. I applied and was unfortunately denied, since then I am trying to repeal the decision and have my doctor get involved. I have seen many specialists in my area (affiliated with top hospitals) and they are mystified. My best shot at this point is Mayo, but I'm having trouble getting in. If anyone has any connections that could try and help me in securing an appointment would be very very much appreciated.

This has had a huge impact on my life and my schooling (which involves hopes of going to medical school), any help that I could get would be sincerely appreciated.

~ Thank you

I would strongly recommend having your current provider make a physician referral to internal med at Mayo. I've heard of physician referrals being denied every so often but it is incredibly rare whereas denies of self-referrals is fairly commonplace. Good luck!

Thank you so much, my doctor is going through the process right now of filling out something which is basically a repeal but the impression that I had got was that it was more of a last-ditch effort than a likelihood of getting in.
