I want to preface with saying my opinion may be a bit superficial b/c I will be starting this fall so I can only speak anecdotally. From what I have heard though, and as someone who attended the welcome event (also overheard a student ask your exact question), it does not sound to me like they have a robust exotics/wildlife program. Yes, they have clubs and such. But, they even told us that they partner with an outside exotics hospital in order to deliver that experience for students who are interested. That alone makes exotics sound like an area that is placed on the back burner. I don’t think Penn would be a flat out BAD decision for a person interested in exotics per say, but just realize (if you do choose penn) that it may be behind a lot of the other areas (small animal, large animal, etc.) and you MAY find your experiences/clinical skills lacking which could result in you needing to find ways to supplement. Again, this is just from me on the outside looking in right now. I could be wrong. Just sharing what I have heard thus far. Hoping a second year or something adds more detail. Wishing you well on your journey!
