Hi All. I'm a 10th grader in the International Baccalaureate Programme. I've been aspiring to be an Orthopedic Surgeon (possibly sports med, or another specialty) since I was 12. That's besides the point, though.
I have been wondering whether my high school GPA, IB exams, and extracurriculars will effect me getting into Medical school at all, or if my undergraduate GPA and etc matter primarily.
I currently have a 3.8 Unweighted GPA, 4.5ish Weighted GPA, and plan on attending University of Florida (if I get accepted) for premed. So mainly, would High school effect my chances of getting into Harvard Medical, or UC San Francisco Medical, or is it mainly what happens in premed/undergrad.
Sorry for the lengthy post, and have a great night.
Thanks,
Kyle
