Anybody here applying this year?
Nothing here, still waitingAnyone getting any interviews or rejections yet?
Oh wow...that’s a long wait...Offers will likely trickle in AFTER the first college football game (September)

That's traditionally been the case. I was the last class where we applied for fellowships without ERAS, and were just on NRMP. Traditionally the due dates for apps were around Sept 1, and some even Oct 1. The reason the ERAS date starts in July 15 is to keep it in line with the medicine subspecialties, which their match date is in Dec (sports med match day is the 1st Wednesday of January).
Remember as attendings we have to prepare our fellows as much as possible for football. It's a crash course until the first game. After that first game, THEN people will start looking at apps.

Crash course of MSK exams. Learning emergency sideline management things like spine boarding, equipment removal, managing dislocations and fractures on the field, etc. Getting to know the EAP (Emergency Action Plan) for each stadium/game. Massive fall physicals for the teams you cover to know the athletes. How do attendings prepare fellows for for football? Do the fellows have help near by in the beg.?
What is the right way to send the code of ethics document, and the cover pages of your publications to the programs? You email them to all the places you apply to ?, or you send them only if you get an invitation ?
Also applying this year. In ERAS it lists a contact e-mail address on each program. I did as the poster above said and e-mailed the Code of Ethics along with publication info to those e-mail addresses. I got a reply from the majority stating that they added them to my file and would be reviewing applications in the coming weeks/months. So sounds like that is the right way to do it, rather than waiting for an interview invitation. Best of luck! What is the right way to send the code of ethics document, and the cover pages of your publications to the programs? Again, most programs won’t send their invites until September at the earliest. I doubt many, if any programs, have already sent out invites. As others have said, invites typically won’t go out until after the first week of college football.Hi everyone,
I am applying for fellowship during this application cycle and wanted to ask if any other current applicants have started getting interview invites? I saw on a previous post in this thread that some programs may send out invites later in the cycle (ie. September after the start of football season) but I just received an email from a program that I am applying to, stating that they will be sending out their invites later in the cycle (ie. October) compared to most programs which may be sending out their interview invitations now.
So I am a little confused and concerned about when interviews may be sent out. I understand various programs have different schedules, and I just wanted to share and exchange some info with others on this forum. Thanks!

From what I have heard, FM programs tend to respond earlier than PM&R. I am PM&R, and have not heard from any PM&R sponsored fellowships, but have gotten an interview from 2/4 FM-sponsored programs I applied to. One of the FM applicants at my institution has interviews from I think 5 programs. But then again, could just be what programs he happened to apply to. Definitely not time to freak out yet, as it seems the majority have yet to contact anyone, though waiting is no fun.
Can anyone share information about NY and NJ programs?
Safe to say programs are done with the invites?
