Does anyone know what programs are known to be "good" programs? I know that definition is different for everyone, but I wanted to see what people thought about each program
Depends on if you’re more trauma or critical care focused to a degree

The “historical” big names in trauma are like Shock, Memorial, Cook County, USC, UCSD. But there’s lots of really good programs I think for either focus.

Larger universities have access to better pathology for ccu because they get the transplant patients and cardiac cripple/ecmo patients. Some programs like Henry Ford for example may be a level 1 trauma center with lots of good trauma but as a fellow you don’t rotate much and are very ccu focused. Other programs you cover trauma throughout fellowship.

Thanks for the clarification! Would anyone happen to know the big names for SCC?

How will you all deal with scheduling interviews if you get more than you can reasonably handle? Will you drop interviews lower on your list or just stop scheduling new ones? what's an appropriate amount of notice to give a program if you are going to drop an interview

I would ideally think 4 weeks, no later than 2 weeks to give them time to fill the interview spot.
