We are looking for someone to serve as a full-time medical scribe in a physician-owned urology practice in Tampa, FL. The scribe would mostly work in the Riverview/Brandon area and would be working with a single MD. Opportunities exist to shadow the MD in the surgery center if desired.

Description
The primary duties for the medical scribe are to: document the patient encounter and coordinate subsequent care. This position is a dynamic, full-time position with tremendous opportunity to grow and expand the scope of practice within our organization. Florida Urology Partners is a fast-paced, hands-on work environment. Self-starters and well-organized individuals are encouraged to apply.

• Accompany the physician into the exam room in order to document each patient's interaction with the doctor.
• Scribes will use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in real-time to provide clinical data as needed during patient encounters.
• Serve as a liaison with our MA, Front Desk, medical office team to coordinate patient care after each encounter.
• Medical Assistant skills such taking blood pressure, weight and general triage skills

A reliable car is a must, as this position will rotate between two offices (one in Riverview off Bloomingdale and one off 301 in Sun City) when the assigned physician also rotates offices.

Requirements

• Excellent spelling
• Experience using medical terminology
• Past experience in a medical office or as a scribe desired
• Proper grammar and punctuation
• Experience navigating EHR systems, Epic experience desired
