Tufts School of Dentistry Class of 2025 Interview/Acceptance Thread

I'm kinda in the same boat. I applied yesterday and my AADSAS app is still not complete. Will let you know by the end of the cycle.

it depends on the class but in general that ratio is more like 1 prof + 1 resident: 12 students per group. Or 2 profs: 15 students. like in clinic there are specialists present who check your work (ie crowns checked by a prosthodontist and not a general dentist) but students also complain that there aren't enough perio faculty to check student's work after performing scalings and root planings. D24 and D25 class sizes are also larger compared to D21

Has anyone got an interview with an application complete status on AADSAS, or is it typically just “under review”.
 
For anyone who was invited to presentation day, did you receive a confirmation email saying that your response to their initial email was received? Or did they just respond with the supplemental essay?

I never got the confirmation email (I responded Friday/same day I received the initial email). I sent a follow-up email this morning asking if there was a word limit for the supplemental essay since the supplemental application was attached in the initial email. I received a response a few hours later saying that there's no limit, so I just assume that they counted my initial email as a confirmation for Presentation Day

I was in the same boat...ultimately I chose Tufts over NYU. I lived in NY for a few years before and would go into the city a lot so maybe I'm not as eager as others who haven't been as often. The Boston area appealed to me more because it was still a city, had a strong collegiate feel while still feeling independent/professional, and just seemed nicer than NYC. I also spoke with a dentist who graduated from NYU and told him where I was at decision-wise and he even told me that if he could go back and choose, he would have gone with Tufts because of the smaller class size. 1) where you want to live is subjective, so if you want to live in NY...by all means do that!!! It's definitely a fun city to get to know. 2) you need to determine whether you want to sacrifice location or class size (Tufts or NYU) Hope this helps!

Can anyone who interviewed at Tufts tell me what they wish they knew before walking into Presentation Day and Interview Day. I am super nervous 😅

For anyone who interviews this week and is waiting on a decision -- Does your adea app still say “invited for interview” for tufts or did the status change back to “received/ under review” ?

Nope! In my presentation day they said they are making decisions on Jan 29th so tomorrow & we should know at the beginning of next week

I just got a notification for an interview! Do any of you guys mind letting me know about the interview process and is there anything to be wary of?

I just got accepted now! I interviewed
on 1/26.

the interview process was very simple. Presentation day was a bit long but very informational and you get to meet other applicants. Actual interview was a day or 2 days after and honestly it was super conversational, there were no trick/surprise questions.

In case anyone is curious, the admissions committee will be meeting again on 2/19 and releasing the next round of acceptances in late February

Hi! I just had a question regarding the interview. How did you get a notification was it via email or phone call? Also, who sent out the interview request? My application is still processing and I was told that I would be in a good spot to get an interview last month and I’m slightly getting worried.

Email! Came right from Admissions. You have to be invited to Presentation Day first.

Try sending a letter of interest if you haven't already! I sent one and got an interview invite within a couple days.

"Was told" by whom, may I ask? And what are your stats, may I also ask? Trying to gauge if there is any hope for me.
 
Did anyone's status on AADSAS change back to "Received/Under Review" after the interview?
