Very well put. I couldn't agree more. I got screwed on my OB grade because I apparently pissed off ONE resident- who promptly told all the other residents how awful I was. All I did was ask a question about a procedure in front of a patient- ok, so I shouldn't have asked in front of the patient...

Another Class of 2005'er here, equally pissed. Especially because I had to reapply after not getting in to the Class of 2004!

The sad thing is that I AM at a state school! But tuition here has gone up 15% or so each year, so that now it's over $20,000 per year. There is very little financial aid here other than loans, so that's how I'm ending up with close to $150K debt regardless.

Here's my update: I ended up doing fairly well, though didn't quite get the 245 I was hoping before I took the test. Got a 238/96, which is way better than I thought when I walked out of the test. My suggestion: do as many practice ???s as possible. QBank is easier than the real thing, but...

I'm doing the Qbank questions and am scoring in the 60's in every field except anatomy and embryology- a measly 47% and 52% respectively. Is there enough anatomy and embryo on Step 1 to make it worth my while to study these more? Or am I better off focusing more on path, pharm, and phys?
