the worst was getting that email last week about the instructions for the scramble. I immediately took that as a sign i needed to start looking for FP positions in Wyoming before I read the email

Similar to previous years...I wonder if it's the same residency programs that don't fill because they are subpar. If so, these programs should be dissolved. As many people have stated, we're training too many residents.

You're the second person i know who'll be in vegas on match day. Damn you! My wife and i have to save money for the move, first/last month rent + sec. dep. (or downpayment for home...would need some help from our parents). otherwise, we'd be in vegas and then hawaii...but reality is a buzzkill.

I'm not so sure about that - a lot of the bad programs, I believe, fill outside the match. Hard to know how prevalent that is though.

Whch programs r these? Whch programs r more prestigus? I want to do dermpath I luv skin.

I don't know specifically which programs these are, but they would be fairly easy to guess based on common logic. There are a lot of good programs out there, associated with big university med schools and some large private institutions. But that still leaves a lot of others.
