They screen people with the Step I score. I was told by the secretary that you must have at least a 220 to be considered.
The interview day was very different from most. There is no social, and the actual interview day was very short. I have no idea how they feel they can get to know 30-something people in such a short time, leading me to believe that they base their decision heavily on numbers. They were very interested in how they are perceived by other institutions and a little too concerned about what other institutions the applicant is interviewing at. I ranked them last. That was an expensive trip, and I wish I could get my money back.
