Hi all, appreciate any advice on potential schools to consider. I have nearly all CA schools on my list but know I need to expand it based on difficulty of securing CA MD acceptance.

1. cGPA and sGPA: 3.75 uGPA (engineering undergrad), 4.00 post-bacc GPA, 3.9 sGPA
2. MCAT score(s): 516 (retook 511)
3. State of residence: CA
4. Ethnicity and/or race: ORM
5. Undergraduate institution or category: service academy
6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer): 750 hours ED scribe, in-patient peds volunteer (50 hour), hospice volunteer (50 hour)
7. Research experience and productivity: undergrad engineering research (200 hours, poster presentation), clinical research assistant (1200 hours, long project so unfortunately no pubs/posters)
8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented: 50 hours, ED + FM
9. Non-clinical volunteering: 50 hours special needs volunteering, 100 hours food bank
10. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc): 4-year D1 athlete + team captain, 5 years active duty military service
11. Relevant honors or awards: scholar-athlete awards, military awards
12. Anything else not listed you think might be important: veterans' health focused application

Truthfully there is not a specialty I wouldn't consider at this point - I am entering this process with a very open mind. I am interested in continuing work with veterans (VA HPSP potentially) during my career.
