I put in my ethnicity while registering for the MCAT like 7 months ago, and I do not remember if I put "white" or "other."
I put "other" on my application; I am Iranian. However, I recently had a friend tell me that middle eastern is just the same as white. Should I contact the schools I applied to to explain this, as I don't want them thinking I am being misleading on my racial identity, or should I just let it go?
I can't tell if I am being a neurotic premed, or if the distinction between "white" and "other" is actually something that committees care heavily for. Will my application be flagged if I identified differently on my MCAT than my application?
