small way". Also, I just generally am of the opinion that as soon as you know you won't choose to attend a certain institution, it is your responsibility to inform the school ASAP so they can consider others who actually want/need that chance instead of wasting time, resources, and interview slots on people who don't. I do genuinely believe that people withdrawing their apps and even decreasing the competition pool by a few numbers will eventually help someone else.
