Well, that was interesting... It turns out I did actually fail. And the funniest thing of them all is I failed the CIS part, on everything else (data gathering, patient note, English proficiency) I was "asterisked" (off the scale). On the CIS, I was half borderline, half lower. I'm baffled...

My Step 2 CS score was reported in oasis earlier today. I tried the oasis trick, and it let me start a new application. Now, there is NO WAY I failed that thing. What's worse, if I did fail, I have no idea what I did wrong. Sure, I made a couple of minor mistakes and forgot to drape one patient...

I think 70% is considered pretty solid, most people who have been in that range have had good scores. There is a huge thread out there somewhere where people list their scores. Good luck!

I think a lot of the emotion invested in this issue stems from the failure to distinguish between two different contentions regarding American citizens who go abroad for medical schools (FMGs) and foreign citizens who complete medical training in their homecountry and decide to go to the US for...

I think I read somewhere that doctors going for residency programs are exempt from the cap, no matter what residency program (i.e. community vs university). I'm not sure, though, so don't flame me if it turns out to be wrong, but it might be worth googling for... :-)

I don't feel to comfortable about my effort either, forgot lots of stuff. We'll see. This whole process is just so stupid and cumbersome it's not worth fuming over it when you can't really affect the outcome any more... Good luck, though. Statistically, you will pass... :-)
