What impressed you positively?
Positive atmosphere, attractive buildings (the labs even have windows!) pleasant students and much better facilities than their competition UW.
What impressed you negatively?
One of the Docs interviewing me seemed preoccupied and a bit impersonal. She warmed up eventually though, and I learned a lot just from that conversation.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
That the majority of the people who ride Tri-Met public transportation are kinda off in their own little world, so to speak.
Also make sure that you have something to do, they schedule you at totally random times during the day so count on at least 5 hours of down time.
