Curriculum

The College of Dental Medicine embodies an innovative, newly developed curriculum designed to graduate competent clinicians devoted to primary and comprehensive care. The college is closely allied with the other colleges in Nova Southeastern University's Health Professions Division. Courses in basic biomedical sciences prepare students to treat both physically well and medically compromised patients with assured quality care. Early introduction into clinical settings, under the preceptorship of faculty group leaders, enables the student to achieve an understanding of the dynamics of the dentist/patient relationship. Classroom instruction in basic and behavioral sciences is integrated into management and delivery of dental health care. Students are taught the importance of teamwork in an efficient and modern health care delivery system.
