mentioning a boyfriend in an interview?

If other things such as rec, volunteer etc are good to go along with your 30/3.5, you probably can get in to azcom. Why even mention bf in your interview to complicate things? I won't if I were you. Just like the other poster points out, you might invite the interviewer to dig into your...

    CCOM or Western?

It's a two year program for my daughter. She is starting on her second year and will do her fellowship next year. When she started the IM residency, she did not know what specialty field she wanted to go into. She thought about GI, Cardio, ENT among others. Finally she decided on Rad...

    CCOM or Western?

Yes. As I posted, she is doing her residency at USC's radiology department. Her title is "radiology resident" working for Dr. Patrick Colletti, M.D. I also know a few other COMP grads that is doing very well in radiology. One will be doing his muscle/bone radiology fellowship at UC...

    CCOM or Western?

Match list for Western, CCOM as well as other DO schools, try http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=175626 Congrat for having been accepted by both great schools. You are in a Win-Win situation. I'm sure you'll be happy with either one of them. FYI, my daughter was in the...

Do Western/COMP students help each other?

"....The MSII's spend their own private time to hold tutoring sessions everyday and we also tutor each other. .." Correct me if I am wrong. I think that COMP pays its MSII's students to provide private tutoring services to its MSI students. COMP does that to make sure its students...

    WOW. COMP's 2005 Matchlist

I am not at all surprise that COMP students match so well. I know one COMP grad is doing Nuclear Medicine at USC. USC has two openings for Nuclear Medicine every other year. Hence, consider so many people apply, you can see how difficult it is to get into that USC NM program. Also, I...

COMP students, what do you think?

What's going on? Why did JL leave? Anyone knows where did he go? I seriously doubt that COMP can find a better anatomy professor, and a nicer guy, than JL. What a BIG loss.

COMP students, what do you think?

I hope that JL is still there at COMP. I heard he is excellent.

Where will new DO schools be opening and when?

I agree. Hope that AOA works with governments in the NorthWest, and areas which don't have any med schools to start COM in their respective state Universities. That would attract some of the most qualified students to attend school there. Because it's state owned, you can be assured that...

I got a problem choosing between caribbean and DO schools!

This is probably the BEST advice you can get. Why make yourself regret being a DO, and take away a valuable spot from someone who has a genuine interest in osteopathy? DO is not for you. You should really consider going to St. George which is really a great school. Go luck to you.

Anyone know what are Md's board passing rates vs osteo's

ajc posted 12-10-2003 09:43 PM Dude! I do not want to continue this MD vs DO stuff. It's only for premeds and immature folks. So. How about this. If the Lakers are not allowed to rebound (offensively and defensively) and dunk, I think Red Wings have a much better chance to win a...

Anyone know what are Md's board passing rates vs osteo's

On the reverse, I wonder what would be the COMLEX 1 pass rates for first-time takers from US and Canadian allopathic medical schools, and the pass rates for first-time takers from US osteopathc schools? My bet would be that DO students have a much higher % pass rate than those MD students...

COMP Class of 2008 part 01

I think if you want to go into primary care and stay in So. Cal, COMP would be an excellent choice for you, other than CA schools. It's always good to have a successful medical career, and a network of friends nearby after you finish your med education. Primary care is very much in high...

    new programs

COMP has a program that accepts 30 students each year from northwest like Oregon, Idaho, Montana. After two years of school at the Pomona campus, they will do all their rotations in northwest. For those interested in more detail info, browse COMP's website www.westernu.edu

COMP Class of 2008 part 01

Congrats for your COMP acceptance. Would anyone of you be interested in COMP's summer anatomy courses? One is for those that did not take any anatomy course at undergrad, hence is an introductory course. The other is an accelerated advance course. It is for those that meet a certain...
