    Dentistry harder than Medicine?!

If you're wasting your time thinking about irrelevant questions like the one you posited above, you're in serious trouble.

    osteonecrosis..let's cuss and discuss

There's an outstanding systemic review article in Annals of Internal Medicine by the oral pathologists Kalmar, Woo,and Hellstein. I think it's from May but I might be mistaken. I'd get that and read it above all others.

    Dental School Ranking Question

It's so creative how you recycle a joke! you are the kewlest!!!

Where on CV to you put a GPR

Your're correct that externships are professional experience, but GPRs are not. GPRs are an educational program, just like dental school or any specialty program. In a CV, there's not a "clinical experience" section. The standard CV format is organized reverse chronologically, into...

Where on CV to you put a GPR

You put it under education, just like a specialty program, and list certificate instead of the degree. Professional experience is reserved for academic appointments and/or jobs. While a GPR is technically a "job", as a resident you're still in a formal educational program. Example July...

    Specialist Licensure without clinical exam

I know that there are a few states that will let you get licensed w/o a clinical exam provided you're a diplomat of your specialty organization. Off the top of my head though, I can't remember which they are but Nevada and Arizona come to mind. Your best bet is to call the board of dentistry...

    Western Regional Examination Board (WREB)

FYI, Illinois no longer takes WREB and Minnesota will only take WREB if you also take the written and manikin portions of ADEX. Also, ADEX is recognized by 41 states, more than WREB.

    Adex

ADEX is the American Board of Dental Examiners. It was created out of the AADE (American Association of Dental Examinters) to create a "national" exam. This year, that exam is being administered by NERB and CRDTS. Therefore if you take ADEX as given by NERB it'll be good in a state that also...

    An interesting Oral Pathology subject?

Well, the new big thing is bisphosphonate associated osteonecrosis of the jaws.

    Licensure

Don't trust what the WREB says. Illinois used to take all boards, not any more. Indiana has always had a state exam, but they just joined NERB and that will go into effect sometime later this year. Gavin, California DOES NOT accept WREB yet. Go to the dental board of California's website...

    Top GPR programs

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a strong medicine/hopsital program, it'll be different than one that has lots of implants, or surgery, or cosmetics, or whatever. There's a reason that GPRs (and dental schools for that matter aren't ranked). Having said...

    Licensure

I dunno where you got that graphic, but it's not quite right. California (though it should go through soon) doesn't take WREB, nor does Indiana, Illinois and the northeastern states usually require you to take the NERB DSCE (written portion) as well. But if you're a predent now, I wouldn't...

    Licensure

Unfortunately, even though that document is from last May, it's out of date. If you want to know what regional boards are for which state, you'll need to go to the website of those boards. www.wreb.org www.nerb.org www.crdts.org www.srta.org www.citaexam.org But even that's not a...

    ADEX exam

The DSCE is a joke. The only excusable reason for taking over 3 hours is dyslexia. Same material as NBDE part 2, hell, some of the questions were exactly the same. Don't worry about it at all. If you're anywhere near competent and ready to graduate, it'll be a breeze.
