it depends on the school. i know at mine, for example, the MD/PhD students do anatomy the summer before we even arrive.

actually, most med schools wil recalculate your science GPA and non-science GPA so it doesn't really matter that the English major's overall GPA is higher than the Biology major's. major in what you like the best. you have the rest of your life to study science.

you never have to bull**** completely. if you do, then the school's not right for you and you shouldn't be applying. if you can't find even ONE thing you especially like about the school, whether it be location, curriculum, whatever, then why are you applying?!? there are over 100 other...

personally, i'd go to Tufts. for its better location and reputation. congrats on having a choice though! :)
