    Cinci vs Seattle vs Chicago

chicago is one of the greatest cities in this country in terms of culture, things to do, places to see, with beautiful architecture and a beautiful Lake. i have never heard of this reputation of children's memorial as being malignant and hierarchical. i have only heard very wonderful positive...

    Los Angeles Pediatrics Programs

I did an away rotation at UCLA and while the attendings and fellows were great, I was disappointed with the residents and the educational conferences (morning report and noon conference). On my interview day there, none of the residents even showed up to morning report, such that the chief...

i'm a student at univ of chicago and can say most emphatically that i LOVE the peds program here. there is a very warm, friendly, collegial environment amongst the residents and most attendings. educational conferences are all excellent and extremely well-attended because it's expected that all...

Picking a major. What would you do?

actually, most med schools wil recalculate your science GPA and non-science GPA so it doesn't really matter that the English major's overall GPA is higher than the Biology major's. major in what you like the best. you have the rest of your life to study science.

" Non-competive atmosphere, in the 6 hours I was here the school touched me"

i found that after spending an interview day at a school, i could get a 'feeling'... but most of the times, that feeling was positive. only a couple times, i could tell that the school wasn't right for me. it was just the atmosphere, the aura the students gave off, the physical location of...

    can i do this?

Boston U - why is their acceptance rate so low??

it is most definitely bc of the large number of applicants they get. i agree with adcadet. and also lollie2006. from personal experience.

For all those secondaries that ask: "Why do you want to come to our school?"

you never have to bull**** completely. if you do, then the school's not right for you and you shouldn't be applying. if you can't find even ONE thing you especially like about the school, whether it be location, curriculum, whatever, then why are you applying?!? there are over 100 other...

    Application Timeline/Going Abroad

i honestly recommend being in the states during the application process. i'm sure there are some out there who have done what you want to do and it's certainly feasible... but the application process is already so stressful... it would be even more so, trying to coordinate everything from...
