Can being a resident/intern/doctor simply be a JOB?

Definitely as an Attending, it can be just a job.

Texas Permanent License - Form X?

If you do your form early enough, there really is no reason to do Form X. It only may be helpful if you are in a time crunch. Just don't wait till May to get your app in for a July start and you will be fine.

    Peds Residency Application 2011-12

31 is way too many with your stats, but you can always narrow it down later. Good luck!

    Angry parents?

Don't forget patient relations or something similiar that is set up in the hospital. Sometimes is good to have a third party mediate these issues or find out exactly what the problem is. A lot of times it better for everyone, if you are not getting anywhere as a team.

    New Pediatric Practice Name

Can't help you with the naming part. However, you should do really well for yourself with that type of set up.

    consults

In all fairness to the intern, a lot of these consultant residents believe that you're going to give them a full H&P over the phone. At least from my end, its not happening, go see the patient and get your own information. Reason for consult and any pertinent labs/imaging should suffice.

Getting into residency after failing Step II CS and Step III

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Not impossible, but you need to be realistic about what specialty you choose and apply broadly.

Very depressed - Is there a real way out of medicine?

I remember you posting this same exact post while you were in residency.

How to find an attorney to review my employment contract?

So no one in your program, can help you with this or at least get you to someone who can help.

    program director reading residents' emai

People swap calls all the time, in fact some may offer a monetary amount for someone to take their call. Again, their is a third party involve because of course the call schedule has to be updated with the person actually taking call so also the nurses know who to page and such and such. Maybe...

Sex, drugs and rock and roll

With the advent of urine chylamdia/gonorrhea, it has made life easier with at minimum a bimanual exam as part of the workup. However I know plenty of privates who do not do pelvic exams under any circumstances. With the new ACOG rules it has made punting easier.

How many consults you get for delirium?

iHollered for the past twenty minutes... LMAO. You can't be serious.
