Healthcare is an essential part of life and carries a high demand for diligent workers. This explains the numerous career opportunities that it provides. However, this can make it difficult to find the right choice for you. Choosing a career is a major life decision that requires meticulous thinking and planning. As a student already balancing academics, research, and hobbies, you may not have enough time to experience different healthcare careers in depth. If this sounds familiar, there is a great event waiting for you, introducing the 2021 National Pre-Health Conference (NPHC2021)!
The second annual National Pre-Health Conference is from Wednesday, August 4th to Friday, August 6th from 9:30 am – 7:05 pm EST (6:30 am – 4:05 pm PST). This event is online and completely free for anyone interested in a career in healthcare. Register here! Our theme, Unity in Healthcare, highlights various healthcare professionals from across the country. These guest speakers will share their experiences in the vast medical realm.
Well-renowned professionals such as Dr. Bill Dorfman (@drbilldorfman), a featured dentist on ABC’s hit show Extreme Makeover and a recurring host on the CBS Emmy awarded show The Doctors, are scheduled to attend the conference. Dr. Dorfman invented Zoom Teeth Whitening where he helped grow his company, Discus Dental, from zero to over $1.3 billion in sales before selling it to Philips. Additionally, Dr. Dorfman has more than 20 Lifetime Achievement Awards and 2 Guinness World Book records and is a NY Times Best Selling author. He also helped raise over $45 million for children’s charities.
Dr. Vincent Raceniello (@profvrr), a Professor of Microbiology & Immunology in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, will also be featured as a guest speaker at this conference. He has been studying viruses and teaching students about virology for decades. Dr. Raceniello hosts a famous virology podcast entitled, “This Week in Virology”. This podcast grew its audience under the COVID-19 pandemic and currently covers breaking news about the changing nature of research and treatment of the disease.
